Top all-inclusive resort towns in Santorini

Wherever you stay in Santorini, whether a quiet village at the foot of a mountain or amid a cluster of whitewashed buildings close to one of the island’s gorgeous bays, you’ll find yourself in something of a dreamland.

Oia

The northern village of Oia is famed for its popular sunset vantage point, where you can enjoy that iconic Santorini view. It delivers a truly spectacular panorama over whitewashed buildings, brilliant blue-domed churches and the natural wonder of the caldera. Choose a resort in Oia for a little taste of luxury with a laid-back atmosphere. Many of the hotels here have bed and breakfast options, spacious rooms, pools and spas.

Thira

What Santorini’s capital, Thira, lacks in beaches, it makes up for in resorts – there’s ample choice here. If you’re after hotel convenience paired with cultural tours, coffee by the coast and hillside treks, this is the place to be. Be sure to visit the Three Bells and walk the path to Imerovigli for uninterrupted island views.

Perissa

Perissa is the home of affordable stays in Santorini. Alongside the more traditional holiday fare of sun loungers for hire and bar-lined strips, you will find one of Santorini’s most famous shorelines – Perissa Beach, a bustling expanse of black shingle. It’s also well-stocked with bars, restaurants and adventure-filled watersports.

All-inclusive beach holidays in Santorini

Whether it’s the beauty of the volcanic coastal landscape – from the deep blues of the water to the black, red, and white sand beaches – or the many seaside tavernas, bars and activities on offer, an all-inclusive beach holiday to Santorini delivers an unforgettable getaway on a budget.

If you’re hankering after a quintessential seaside resort experience, look for accommodation and deals in and around Kamari. The town, nestled on the eastern side of the island, has a long black sandy beach, a bustling promenade and a wide range of watersports to try out. It’s great for families.

For a more serene stay beside the seaside, seek out resorts and hotels near Monolithos Beach. Located on its inky-black coastline, some resorts have private parasols and offer secluded bathing under the shaded treeline. Others are busier and more active, with kitesurfing and other watersports available. Either way, the sloping shore is ideal if you prefer a paddle to a plunge.

Further south, you’ll find a smattering of places to stay within easy reach of Perissa Beach, which is arguably the place to be for a cheap holiday in Santorini. Take a swim in the Aegean Sea, lounge under the shade of a parasol, and enjoy a bite, drink and some entertainment whenever it suits.

All-inclusive holidays for couples in Santorini

Rich history, charming culture, impeccable cuisine and sensational sunsets, an all-inclusive holiday to Santorini is perfect for loved-up couples looking to celebrate an occasion or reconnect in romantic surroundings.

If you like to spend plenty of time by the coast with your other half, Kamari beckons – it’s one of Santorini’s most popular destinations for sun, sea and sand. The accommodation here is plentiful, and includes large rooms, balconies, spas, fitness centres and pools – with poolside bars. Some, like Santorini Crystal Blue, throw in nice extras like free sunbeds and parasols on the beach.

For a comparatively quiet and lazy spot inland, consider the clifftop village of Imerovigli, where there’s a smattering of suites, villas and boutique hotels to choose from. Unsurprisingly, many offer indulgent wellness services and exquisite dining experiences – with epic views to boot.

Thira, meanwhile, is suited to couples that want to spend as much time out and about as they do by a pool or in a spa. And there is plenty to see and do here, Thira being the island’s capital after all. Check out the Museum of Prehistoric Thira and enjoy a birdseye view of the island on a cable car ride.
