The biggest thing to note about driving in Cala d’Or – and Spain as a whole – is that you’ll be driving on the right-hand side of the road. Luckily, the main roads are easy to drive, and there’s the bonus of coastal roads offering spectacular views.

In rural areas, you may come across rugged dirt tracks and occasional wildlife wandering across, so keep your eyes peeled. Also, stay alert for bikes – Majorca is a bucket list destination for cyclists, so give them a wide berth, especially when they’re tackling the hills.
