Having your own transport enables you to get around the town, as well as get out and explore its beautiful Yorkshire surroundings.

Doncaster is a historic market town surrounded by green, open spaces. By renting a car, you can visit the many country parks and trails Doncaster has to offer and travel around the countryside...

If you are arriving in Doncaster from the town's airport - Robin Hood airport - then you can pick up your hire car here. Alternatively, you canpick up from one of the many downtown locations across the town.

For those interested in the arts, there are many museums and art galleries to visit while in Doncaster, as well as cinemas and theatres.
The town is also well known for its racecourse. One of the oldest in Britain, it hosts two of Britain's 31 Group One flat races. The racecourse is also used for functions and live entertainment and has ample parking if you take a trip here.

One of the UK's top five sport and leisure attractions is Doncaster's Dome. It encompasses a range of facilities, including a seven-pool water world, complete with giant flumes and lagoons. There is also a climbing wall, with different routes, for all abilities to conquer.

Continuing with sport, football fans can watch Championship team, Doncaster Rovers, play at the Keepmoat Stadium. Tickets are available to order from the club's website or on the day from the ticket office.

Alternatively, enjoy a family day out at Maize Maze on Boston Park Farm. The maze is open from mid-July to the end of October and is built using forage maize. The rest of the year, the field is harvested to feed the animals on the farm which can be visited year round.
