- Unlike in the UK, traffic on a roundabout does not have the right of way. This means that when you are going around a roundabout, you need to stop for cars that are trying to get on. This can be confusing to UK drivers and may take a day or two to get used to!
- Speed limits are enforced – even if you don’t see a speed limit sign. The speed limit for urban areas is 50km/h, rural areas 90km/h and motorways 120km/h.
- The roads are good in the cities, but expect gravel roads in rural areas – these can sometimes be poorly maintained.
