With more than 400 miles of coastline to explore, this area of Turkey is overlooked by many heading for the bright lights around Dalaman...
This delightful area opens up from Antalya Airport (AYT), the ideal place to pick up your rental vehicle for a holiday here. With a range of fairly upmarket resorts to choose from, including Kemer and Side, you'll be impressed with upscale shopping in the stores and boutiques, and the upmarket yachts gently moored in the marinas.
The hills are covered in pine forests, olive groves and avocado plantations, and you will still find plenty of traditional Turkish hospitality on offer in bars, cafes and restaurants in the resorts and villages.
There are also many historical sites to visit, such as the temple of Apollo.
The weather is excellent from early spring through to early November with a great sunshine record and low rainfall.
Antalya car hire offers travellers a chance to explore the stunning coastline and beaches...
Why not try Lara Beach Park, one of the longest sandy beaches in Turkey, as well as Belek, Aksu, Konakli, Beldibi, Goynuk, Manavgat, Kemer and Kiris Tekirova. In Olympos, south of Antalya, you can also find unusual tree-house hostels. Throughout the area there is a selection of hotels from high-end ones to pocket-friendly inns.
Make the most of your car hire in Antalya with a journey to the beautiful port town of Marmaris, Pamukkale and its springs, the sunken city of Kekova or just cruise along the coast to discover elegant spa hotels and golf courses.
Take the car to explore the ancient cities of Side and Aspendos, Alaynya Castle or the Karain Cave. History lovers should explore the beautiful cobbled streets of the old centre of Kaleici, which is full of Ottoman-era houses. Though the area is now home to a fantastic selection of bars, restaurants and shopping, it has been restored to its former historical glory.
