For an epic day out in the city, take the A2212 to Greenwich. Jump aboard the Cutty Sark, spend a day at the observatory, stand on the Prime Meridian Line and watch the sun set over central London from Greenwich Park. It’s all just half an hour away.

Believe it or not, Bromley is a good base for exploring the best of the city and the seaside. Despite being just 11 miles from Central London, you can be sitting on the sand in a little over an hour.

For a great day out by the shore, head along the M25 to the A13 and Leigh-on-Sea. Expect a truly British beach town, brimming with fish and chip shops, cockle sheds, old school amusements and lively seafront bars.

Bromley is incredibly well connected, so wherever you go, you’ll usually be driving on A-roads, B-roads and motorways. The only thing to be wary of when behind the wheel is traffic, which can be considerable, particularly if you’re travelling into the city anywhere near rush hour.
