Among the attractions of Rovinj are the church and monastery of St Euphemia, with its dominating bell tower, the Rovinj Town Museum and Zlatni Rt Forest Park in Istria county. Within the town you can walk around the built-up historic Venetian-era part, with a dramatic coastal setting, cobbled narrow streets and fascinating buildings.

There's always a picturesque view or landscape to enjoy. The Old Town is situated on an elevated peninsula and framed by elegant terracotta-roofed houses and narrow cobbled streets interrupted occasionally by small, carefully constructed squares.

Various annual events take place in the area. These include the Adris RC44 Cup, one of the biggest sailing competitions in the world. The Rovinj Wine Festival and St Euphemia Day are both in January.

You can take day trips to the nearby island of St Andrea and to St Catharine, one of the Brijuni islands.
