Bali, Crete This former fishing village is one of Greece's cheapest resorts.
Set your sights on Greece for a cheap summer getaway this year and you won’t be disappointed.
Package holidays to the Greek islands are as legendary as they come. Kefalonia alone is trending as a European hotspot for summer – up 363% in popularity compared to 2024 – and it joins Corfu, Crete and Zante in our shortlist of the cheapest islands in Greece.
But where will your money go furthest? We've crunched the numbers at TravelSupermarket HQ to reveal ten of the cheapest holiday resorts in Greece this summer.
Loud and proud nightlife may be this Greek town’s speciality, but Kavos brings more to the party than neon-lit clubs. Namely, cheap deals. With seven-night holidays averaging just £425pp, it's this summer’s cheapest resort in Greece.
Ample three-star hotels and self-catering apartments mean budget-friendly accommodation is easy to find and you don’t have to spend a thing on activities if you don’t want to.
Sunbathing and swimming at Kavos’s 2km-long (1.2 miles) sandy beach are free to enjoy, and you can bypass watersport costs by bringing your own snorkel. For something more active, tackle the one-hour hike to the Monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
After dark, the endless happy hours along Kavos’s strip have got cheap nights out covered.

Chances are Katelios isn’t on your Greece holiday radar yet. Week-long summer holidays at just £452pp will soon change that.
A pretty fishing village on Kefalonia’s southeast coast, Katelios is traditional Greece in a nutshell – think family-run seafood tavernas, a handful of small souvenir shops and café tables that spill out onto the seafront. Snoozing all day on the sandy-shingle beach will quickly have you falling into step with the sedate rhythm of life here.
If you fancy exploring further afield, hire a car and check out lively Skala or the stalactite-filled Drogarati Cave. Car hire from Kefalonia Airport starts from as low as 69p a day (yes, really!).
Cheap beach breaks with all the trimmings are Sidari’s forte, so it’s no surprise it's one of Corfu’s best resorts for families. Its summer holiday prices are just as appealing, averaging £469pp.
Filling your itinerary in Sidari is a breeze – there’s three gorgeous beaches, heaps of gift shops, parasailing and banana boating, coastal hiking trails, and vibrant nightlife. That’s if you want to leave your hotel of course, as Sidari’s all-inclusive resorts have their own share of entertainment on tap.
Little ones will love getting splash-happy at Sidari Waterpark, while there’s plenty to love about Canal d'Amour beyond its name. Stunning sunsets are just the start.

Half way between laidback Agios Nikolaos and bustling Zante Town, Alykes is a happy medium for holidaymakers looking to enjoy Zante’s quieter side without giving up the best of the island’s facilities.
The resort is best known for its salt flats, and was once a major producer of the stuff. Nowadays, they’re a protected wildlife area where you can spot birds and take sunset strolls.
Head to the beach and the generous sweep of blonde sand is an idyllic setting for sunbathing and swimming. It’s well organised with umbrellas and loungers, and there’s watersports and beach bars if you’re looking for more of a buzz.
At £520pp, Alykes is a reliable bet for a cut-price summer holiday in Zante.
For just £1 more, you can hop across the Ionian Sea for a week of summer sunshine in Lassi. You won’t be short on places to soak up the sun either, with two wide sandy beaches and several smaller coves peppering the coastline. Makris Gialos’s sparkling turquoise water sets the standard.
You’re in prime watersports territory, so expect windsurfing, water-skiing and paddleboarding to be on your agenda. Scuba diving enthusiasts will be in their element too – there are over 20 dive sites in reach from Lassi, where you can explore wrecks, reefs and caves.
For a change of scenery, the capital, Argostoli, is just five minutes away by car, while island icon, Myrtos Beach, can be reached in forty.
Averaging £532pp for seven nights, Kassiopi is the sixth cheapest resort in Greece this summer. It’s Corfu’s third entry, and a great alternative to Kavos and Sidari for couples seeking an easy-going escape.
Kassiopi’s picturesque harbour is the beating heart of the resort – an idyllic spot for both morning coffees and al fresco suppers. It’s watched over by a Byzantine castle, which you can reach via a hike through olive and cypress trees.
Head away from the harbour and into the resort centre for the best selection of villas, guesthouses and apartments, all of which offer a great night’s sleep for a steal.
You’ll find Kassiopi on the northeast coast, within an hour’s drive of Corfu Airport.
Despite being less than 15 minutes from both Lassi and Argostoli, Svoronata feels like a world of its own. Small and scenic, this hillside village is one for peace seekers after a different side to the island.
If you don’t mind jumping in the car for a few minutes (hiring a car from Kefalonia Airport is a cheap and easy way to reach Svoronata), you can add beach time to your itinerary, too. The three closest are Avithos, Ammes and Ai Helis.
The best bit is that the tranquillity doesn’t come with a price tag. Expect a seven-night summer holiday to come in just over £570pp.
Looking for more action on your Kefalonia holiday? Lixouri, the island’s second largest town, delivers from just £594pp.
Built on the remains of the ancient city of Pali, Lixouri has a long, rich history. You can see parts of the town’s past in the churches and neoclassical buildings, but nowhere more so than at the Lakovatios Library and Museum, which is home to vast collections of books and antique paintings.
The busy waterfront is noticeably more modern, lined with restaurants and bars that serve everything from classic gyros to international cuisine. The resort’s beach lies just beyond the marina and looks out across the bay to Argostoli.

Ialyssos is one of the best resorts in Rhodes for budget travellers, so it’s no surprise it makes an appearance here.
With summer holiday prices coming in at £621pp, any spare pennies are best put towards activities. Watersports fans can try their hand at windsurfing on Ialyssos Beach, shopaholics can stock up on clothing and handmade crafts, and avid explorers can museum hop around neighbouring Rhodes Town.
If you’re travelling on a shoestring, Ialyssos has plenty of well-rated self-catering apartments and studios where you can cook your own meals using tasty local ingredients.

Tucked in a bay on Crete’s north coast, it would be easy to overlook Bali for better-known spots such as Chania and Rethymnon. But with seven-night summer holidays in Bali also averaging £621pp, you’d be missing out if you did.
The former fishing village has managed to maintain much of its traditional Greek charm while evolving to cater to the tourist market with a variety of three-hotels, restaurants and cafés.
Bali’s five beaches, each sheltered and stunning, are a real draw for families with young children. Varkotopos Beach even has a splash park for extra seaside fun.
For something a little more grown up, take a boat trip from the harbour, before returning for romantic sundowners at a boho bar.
