The beach is never far away on this tiny Canary Island, but why battle with the buses when an airport transfer will take you straight to your door?

Lanzarote’s south coast resorts are all located along one public bus route; great if your accommodation is near one of the first few stops but if you’re on the last leg of the route, travelling can take upwards of an hour from the airport. So why spend precious holiday time negotiating timetables and buying tickets when an airport transfer can get you there hassle free?

While the bus from Lanzarote Airport takes around an hour to get to southernmost resort Playa Blanca, an airport transfer can slash the transit time by half – and that doesn’t even take into account the time saved by bypassing bus queues! Your bank account may come out on top, too – private airport transfers can work out to be much cheaper than a taxi.

Those holidaying closer to Lanzarote Airport, perhaps in the capital Arrecife, or over in pretty Puerto del Carmen, may be considering the cheap public bus trip. It takes around 10 and 20 minutes respectively by bus, though travelling via private airport transfer will not only shave a few precious minutes off your journey, it’ll drop you at your door and kick off your holiday in style.

Travellers venturing further afield will discover even greater benefits with a private airport transfer. Infrequent buses means chilled-out surf town Playa de Famara on the north coast is a two-bus, one-hour trip from Lanzarote Airport, with up to an hour-long wait in Arrecife. By airport transfer, the trip can take as little as half an hour.

It’s a similar story for those holidaying in Costa Teguise. You’ll need two buses to get from the airport to this coastal retreat, But remember, that only leaves you somewhere in town – an airport transfer, meanwhile, can deliver you to your hotel doorstep in around 15 minutes.

If money is a concern or if you’re travelling in a large group, consider an airport shuttle instead. They boast all the benefits of a private airport transfer – door-to-door service, skipping regular public bus and taxi queues and fuss-free travel – at a fraction of the cost.
