Spend less time in transit and more time discovering Malta. Book an airport transfer ahead of your next holiday.

An island of epic history and dramatic natural surroundings, Malta is proof that good things come in small packages. From the stunning Baroque streets of Valletta to the cliff-top hiking trails of Gozo, this little cluster of islands is crammed full of intrigue and beauty – and because of its size, you can pack plenty in.

Getting around is also easy. Public transport on the island is cheap, runs frequently and is fairly reliable. However, if the thought of deciphering bus time tables and waiting in long queues isn’t your idea of a holiday, an airport transfer will almost always cut your travel time in half.

For example, from Malta International Airport to capital city Valletta, a transfer can take around 20 minutes, but this doubles via public transport. Heading to popular Saint Julien’s? Same as before, the transfer is 20 minutes. On public transport, you’re looking at over an hour.

It’s a similar story for the golden beaches of Mellieha Bay, located on the far west side of Malta. A 40-minute transfer stretches out to over an hour – with multiple changes – on the bus. Il-Qawra, meanwhile, is a 30-minute transfer, while the bus is, you guessed it, close to an hour an ten minutes.

Of course, if you’re on a strict budget, you might want to opt for a shuttle bus from the airport. It’s still a door-to-door service, you’ll just have a few more stops to make as the bus drops off other holidaymakers.

For groups, a pre-booked mini bus or van can save you plenty of time and hassle – instead of corralling your group into multiple taxis and trains, you’ll be straight off the plane, into your transfer and at your hotel in no time.

Whatever type of service you’re after, a pre-booked airport transfer generally works out cheaper than a taxi you’d hail down at the terminal.
