Costa del Sol With great-value deals and sparkling wine, you're onto a winner here.

No holiday on the horizon? These deals will change that.

With TravelSupermarket revealing the cheapest holiday destinations for prosecco this week, I thought I’d lean into the theme and choose three amazing deals from the three cheapest places.

No points for guessing some of the winners…

7-night B&B holiday to Cyprus from £472pp

Let’s kick off with third place: Paphos in Cyprus, where a glass of sparkling costs just £3.87 on average.

This deal will see you fly in from Manchester for some much-needed winter sun. For just £472pp, you’ll depart on 2 November and spend seven nights at the four-star hotel Akti Beach Village Resort.

The hotel comes incredibly well rated, with customers praising the staff, the cleanliness and its perfect location right on the beach. There are multiple outdoor swimming pools, a wellness centre with indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam bath and a sauna. There’s also a restaurant with buffet service, as well as an à la carte restaurant, pool bar and cocktail bar.

For the price, you’ll get a twin room with bed and breakfast but if you fancy a bit more space, you can upgrade to an apartment for just £57pp.

You can also upgrade to all inclusive for just £127pp, which works out as just £18 a day! But after scouring the list of what’s included, it seems only red and white wine is included (as well as other local beers and spirits),so you may have to pay extra or venture out on your very own prosecco hunt.

And if you’re looking for a treat-yourself holiday, this £680pp deal to a gorgeous five-star hotel for the same dates caught my eye too.

The deal: Seven nights at the four-star Akti Beach Village Resort in Paphos from £472pp with breakfast included. Flights departing Manchester on 3 November 2024.

7-night 5-star holiday to the Costa del Sol from £566pp

Spain’s Costa del Sol came in joint first place for cheap sparkling wine (just £3.01 a glass!) and combined with this beauty of a deal I found, it was almost impossible not to get my debit card out.

Why? The hotel. You know a place is going to be next level when even their gym looks like an art installation. Flying from London on 15 October from just £566pp, you’ll enjoy seven nights at the absolutely stunning five-star Higueron Hotel Malaga.

Surrounded by beautiful scenery with views across Fuengirola Bay, you can expect great vistas not only from their rooftop infinity pool, but from many of the rooms too. Speaking of the pool, it’s surrounded by Bali beds that scream luxury. There’s got to be something in the theory that the thicker the sunbed, the nicer the hotel. There’s an indoor heated pool too, as well as a spa, hammam, jacuzzi and sauna.

As for the food options, there are six restaurants to choose from including the Michelin-starred Sollo by Diego Gallegos (tasting menus cost €170 if you want to splurge).

The hotel also has a free shuttle to the beach and the train station nearby, so I absolutely recommend a train up the coast to the wonderful city of Malaga to go find your own cheap cava. In fact, any of the beach towns along the seafront are sure to tick the box there.

If you're on a tight budget, you could try this incredible weeklong four-star Costa del Sol trip for just £300pp instead.

The deal: Seven nights at the five-star Higueron Hotel Malaga in Fuengirola from £566pp on a room-only basis. Flights departing Luton on 15 October 2024.

7-night B&B holiday to the Costa Dorada from £492pp

It might not come as a surprise that the Costa del Sol shares joint first with another of Spain’s holiday hotspots – yep, you’ll find more sparkling wine (or cava) for just £3.01 in the Costa Dorada.

This deal offers even more great value, flying from Bristol to Reus on 23 October from only £492pp. That includes a 23kg checked bag and a coach transfer too.

As for the hotel, you’ll be staying seven nights at the four-star adults-only Golden Costa Salou. It has a rooftop pool and a spa area, so this is definitely a great shout if you’re looking for a bit of relaxation. You’re not too far from the beach either, with Playa de la Pineda just 130m away.

For the price, you’ll get a premium room with pool view and breakfast, though you can upgrade to half board (+£97pp), full board (+£176pp) or all inclusive (+£365pp).

But really the question we all want to know is how easy is it to find some of this cheap cava? Well, there’s loads of bars within walking distance, so why not take it upon yourself to go sniff it out? My first stop would definitely be the aptly named ‘Bar La Cava’, which is just a nine-minute walk away.

The deal: Seven nights at the four-star Golden Costa Salou in La Pineda from £492pp with breakfast included. Flights departing Bristol on 23 October 2024.

*All prices correct as of 2 October 2024.
