El Gouna, Egypt This Red Sea hotspot is a top pick for a winter sun holiday.
Searching for a great deal on your next holiday? You’re in the right place.
Whether you're seeking all-inclusive bliss in Costa Dorada, Fuerteventura or El Gouna, here are three fabulous holiday deals to get in your calendar today.
The Costa Dorada – Spain’s ‘Golden Coast’ – is a lovely stretch of coastline starting just south of Barcelona. You’ve got kilometres of sandy beaches here, and plenty of pretty coastal towns and lively resorts to choose from. In May, temperature can hit highs of 24C, so it’s perfect for a dose of early summer sunshine.
This four-night all-inclusive deal will take you there from just £259pp. Flying from Manchester, you’ll stay at the three-star Best Sol d‘Or hotel, which is well rated for its clean, spacious rooms and convenient location. All-inclusive meals are served at the varied buffet restaurant, and there are snacks and drinks on tap throughout the day. Spend your time relaxing by the pool or build up your appetite with badminton or table tennis.
There’s lots on your doorstep too. You’re just minutes away from La Pineda’s main beach and within easy walking distance to several bars, restaurants and shops. Dabble in watersports – jet-skiing and windsurfing are both on offer at the beach – or hop on the train or into a car for a sightseeing session in Barcelona. The journey takes around an hour and a half.
Still searching for your family summer holiday? This deal is for you.
With a free child’s place incorporated in the price, this week-long all-inclusive family holiday to Fuerteventura actually works out at just £403pp for two adults and two children. And before you start totting up how much checked luggage and transfers will cost, let me stop you there – they’re included!
You’ll be staying at the three-star O7 Aloe Corralejo, a lovely family-friendly spot that has plenty for all ages to enjoy. It’s an aparthotel, which I always think is a great option for families because you tend to get a bit more space, as well as a terrace or balcony too.
There are seven swimming pools here, including a kids’ pool and splash park. Little ones can get stuck into activities at the kids’ club while you chill by the pool or hit up the spa. You’re across the road from the Corralejo Natural Park and its sand dunes, and the beach is just a couple of minutes’ drive away, too.
Flights are from Edinburgh on 23 April. While Scottish schools will have returned from the Easter break by then, it makes a great deal if you have younger children, or if you live in Northern England and Edinburgh Airport is within easy travelling distance.
My final deal is for all you planners out there. For some winter sun in 2026, look no further than this fab holiday to the Red Sea. With temperatures rarely dropping below 20C even in January, it’s a great option for reliable winter warmth.
For just £359pp, you can bag a week’s stay at the four-star Panorama Bungalows Resort in El Gouna – a town just north of Hurghada. This is a seriously beautiful spot, with a private beach right on a lagoon. You’ll be staying in one of their attractive modern bungalows, alongside a dreamy pool that’s open year-round. There’s a pool bar, beach bar and a buffet restaurant, too.
Built on a series of islands and lagoons along the coast, El Gouna is full of sandy beaches and gorgeous sea views. Head to Abu Tig Marina to enjoy a coffee while admiring the yachts or organise a snorkelling or diving trip at Orca Dive Club.
If you want to strike out further, Hurghada town with its shops, restaurants and traditional Egyptian souks is half an hour away.
