We’ve found seven stunning beach destinations where you do just that. Each of these locations offers five-star all-inclusive holidays where you can enjoy top-notch amenities, breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences at a price that won't make your wallet wince.

1. Tunisia

Tunisia is already making waves as one of the cheapest destinations for an all-inclusive holiday. And it doesn’t fall short in the luxury department either.

Sousse and Hammamet are among the best value resorts. As well as their tempting prices, many five-star hotels come with a Moorish architectural twist – think intricate tilework, arcaded arches and ornate domes. Fountains trickle in tranquil gardens and you’ll find no shortage of secluded alcoves to relax with mint tea and a good book.

After an extended sun-lounger session (summer temperatures sizzle in the high twenties), get a taste for Tunisian culture.

In Hammamet, the ancient medina is a hive of narrow streets, colourful bazaars and historic landmarks including the Great Mosque and sand-coloured Kasbah, while the Sousse Archaeological Museum has an impressive collection of mosaics and artefacts.

2. Dalaman, Turkey

From action-packed resorts with all-day entertainment to wellness hotels tucked within private bays, Dalaman’s five-star stays are as varied as a mezze platter. The best combine beachfront locations with gorgeous pools, hammam spas and fine dining.

Look to Marmaris for your best choice of shops, cafés and watersports that will keep your itinerary ticking over. Evenings are best spent watching the harbour’s lights sparkle into life as you sip sundowners from a waterfront bar.

For something a little more laidback, base yourself in Fethiye or Olu Deniz. Stretch your legs among pine-clad hills, explore ancient ruins and rest on the sun-kissed shores of Turkey’s most iconic lagoon.

3. Bodrum, Turkey

Bodrum turns heads thanks to its long, sandy beaches, stylish hotels and pulsing nightlife. The fact that it’s also one of the cheapest destinations on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast for a luxe all-inclusive holiday makes it one to watch in 2025.

Take a post-buffet nap on the golden sands of Kumbahce Beach before getting your thrills with watersports and wild nights out. A scuba diving trip to explore the shipwrecks and reefs off Bodrum’s coast is a must.

Foodies will love it, too. The marina is a hub of fine dining and chic waterfront tavernas, where you can try everything from lamb kofta to fresh octopus and lobster straight from the Aegean Sea.

4. Egypt

A treasure trove of ancient wonders and white-sand beaches, Egypt was made to impress. Its luxury all-inclusive hotels are no different.

You’ll find the best on the Red Sea coast. In Sharm el Sheikh, ultra-stylish resorts fringe the gin-clear sea, famous for its vibrant coral reefs, while Hurghada seamlessly blends modern, opulent hotels with traditional Egyptian coffee houses and souks. Up the glam with a stay in one of El Gouna’s immaculate five-star hotels that pepper its palm-lined islands.

For a truly luxurious experience, take a sunset safari in the desert or hire a private yacht to spot bottlenose dolphins and sea turtles.

5. Algarve, Portugal

Go all-inclusive in Portugal and you’ll probably find yourself in the sunny Algarve. For bargain hunters, it’s great news, as according to the Post Office’s annual Holiday Money Report, it’s often one of Europe’s cheapest holiday destinations.

Thanks to world-class golf courses designed by legendary players including Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer, the Algarve is also a golfer's paradise. Many five-star hotels cater to the golf crowd, with greens access included in the holiday price along with luxurious accommodations.

If golf isn’t your bag, you’ll just have to settle for stunning beaches, watersports and coastal hikes through charming, whitewashed villages.

6. Antalya, Turkey

Turkey's all-inclusive resorts are renowned for their incredible waterparks, making them perfect for families and thrill-seekers alike.

Antalya’s hotels are particularly brilliant, complete with fabulous aquatic playgrounds full of towering slides, lazy rivers and wave pools.

When you're not making a splash, you can wander the narrow cobblestoned streets of Antalya’s beautifully preserved old town, admire Ottoman architecture and Roman ruins, and haggle for treasures at the bustling bazaars.

The region’s top hotels also serve up classic Turkish cuisine, from succulent grilled meats to sweet, sticky baklava.

7. Crete, Greece

Crete is one of the most affordable destinations in Greece for a five-star getaway. A playground of ancient ruins, picturesque villages and postcard-worthy beaches, the island has plenty to see and do – if you can drag yourself away from being pampered at the hotel.

The best hotels blend modern luxury with traditional Greek hospitality, offering everything from gourmet restaurants to state-of-the-art fitness centres.

Don't miss a visit to Rethymnon’s Old Town, where pretty paved streets will lead you past Venetian buildings and Ottoman mosques. Elafonissi Beach’s crystalline pink sand should also be high on your hit list.

The cheapest five-star winter sun destinations

A winter sun escape is the perfect antidote to the cold weather and dark mornings of January. And, if you’re willing to travel out of season and be a little adventurous in where you want to go, there are some excellent luxury deals there for the taking in the winter months, when hotels often drop prices to fill their rooms.

Holiday expert Chelsea Dickenson looked at the average price for seven-night, five-star winter sun packages on TravelSupermarket for couples travelling between December 2025 and March 2026 and found that Tunisia leads the way as the ultimate value destination with an average five-star price of just £411 per person. This represents a fraction of what travellers typically expect to pay for premium accommodation, proving that luxury doesn't always require a premium budget. If you look at the cheapest deals possible in Tunisia, you could easily snap up an all-inclusive offer in the winter for less than £300 per person.

Malta claims second position at £525 per person, closely followed by Portugal's Algarve at £526. Turkey's Antalya Area ranks fourth at £616, with Cyprus rounding out the top five at £618 per person. Egypt delivers exceptional value with Hurghada at £659 (sixth place) and Sharm El Sheikh at £744 (seventh), while Morocco's Marrakech comes in eighth at £758 per person. Completing the top ten are Madeira at £788 (ninth place) and Cape Verde at £1,052 per person (tenth place).

Where’s missing?

What's also interesting is where doesn't appear in the top ten, with winter favourites like the Canary Islands failing to chart. It's a great reminder that sometimes the most popular destinations can come with the highest price tags and so if you're happy to look beyond these, you can often bag an incredible five-star value for a whole lot less.

Compare package prices before you book

Check recent guest reviews before booking as five-star doesn't always equal luxury. Look carefully too at what's included, whether pools are heated, whether you get spa access, and whether restaurants and facilities are fully open in winter.

Do you want to know some good news? Many European cities are offering excellent value at the moment, meaning that a five-star city break doesn’t need to mean an eye-watering price. To help you to get away in style for less, we’ve crunched the numbers at TravelSupermarket HQ to reveal the cheapest five-star city break destinations in Europe for 2026.

Here’s where to go to enjoy a premium city break without a premium price tag.

1. Lisbon, Portugal

Average price for a five-star city break: £308pp

Our number one spot for city luxury on a budget is Portugal’s capital, Lisbon, where the price of a five-star city break averaged just £308pp – that’s less than a third of the price of a five-star city break to Paris which came in at £967pp.

You’ll come home with a camera roll full of pictures on a break in “The City of Seven Hills”, thanks to Lisbon’s many viewpoints looking down over the city’s terracotta rooftops, cheery yellow historic trams and pretty cobbled streets. By day, explore its hilltop castle and the historic Alfama district, and at night hang out in a traditional fado house or a chic rooftop cocktail bar.

Food-wise, trying a pastel de nata (Portuguese custard tart) is a must, but there’s much more to discover, too, whether you fancy fresh seafood or steak.

2. Krakow, Poland

Average price for a five-star city break: £321pp

The eastern European city of Krakow is always a good option for luxury for less and it takes our number two spot with five-star city breaks averaging £321pp.

While not as cheap as it once was, Krakow is affordable while you’re there, too, and according to cost-of-living site, Numbeo, a meal at an inexpensive restaurant averages 40 zł (£8) while a three-course meal for two at a mid-range restaurant costs an average of 200zł (£40.50).

Food aside, there’s plenty to keep you entertained in Poland’s good looking second city, from taking in the atmosphere in Europe's largest medieval square, Rynek Główny, and visiting impressive Wawel Castle to exploring Kazimierz, the city's Jewish Quarter.

3. Berlin, Germany

Average price for a five-star city break: £357pp

Germany’s capital, Berlin, combines fascinating history with a hip counter-culture. The city’s free walking tours offer a great way to learn about its past, while by night it’s fun to bar-hop in districts such as trendy Prenzlauer Berg or alternative Kreuzberg.

Don’t miss the views from the top of the Reichstag Building, the seat of German Parliament, where there’s a restaurant as well as a viewpoint. If culture is your priority, plan a day on Museum Island where there’s five museums or go to the Checkpoint Charlie Museum to learn more about the Berlin Wall years.

And while you can’t visit the city without trying its inexpensive signature dish, currywurst (pork sausage, cut into slices, covered in a mixture of curry powder and ketchup and served with fries), Berlin’s innovative restaurants offer up everything from Michelin-starred meals to laid-back brunches.

4. Prague, Czech Republic

Prague lures holidaymakers in with its bargain prices and then makes them fall deeply in love with its beauty.

A good place to start your very own love story is the Old Town, or Stare Mesto, where you can explore the maze of picturesque cobbled lanes. Make sure you head to Old Town Square as it’s home to the famous Astronomical Clock.

You can look over the Old Town and the river from above from Letná Park, where you can capture particularly good photographs at sunset. The park also has a popular beer garden, where you can relax with a drink without breaking the bank. According to Numbeo, the average price of a domestic beer is just 60Kč (£2.12) in Prague. 5. Budapest, Hungary

Average price for a five-star city break: £430pp

Budapest is always a solid bet for a bargain city break, so it’s no surprise to see it taking our fifth spot for a cheap five-star escape.

Famed for its spas and thermal baths, the Hungarian capital has become a top value city break for Brits looking to pamper themselves for less. Popular outdoor pools the Szechenyi Baths or the quieter Turkish Rudas Baths are ideal places to unwind.

Besides wallowing in relaxing waters, you might also want to check out Budapest’s quirky “ruin pub” bar scene, stunning palaces and the sombre House of Terror museum. Oh, and did we mention that a domestic beer is just 1,120Ft (£2.50) on average, according to Numbeo. Cheers!

6. Venice, Italy

Average price for a five-star city break: £500

There’s nowhere else in the world quite like the magical Lagoon City of Venice. You’ll want to capture shots of stripey-shirted gondoliers and show-stopping sights such as the Rialto Bridge and the Byzantine domes of Saint Mark's. Generally considered to be a pricey destination, it’s a surprise entry in our cheap five-star city breaks list

As well as the big-hitters in Venice, allow time to escape the crowds and get lost in its narrow, winding backstreets. And, as you wander, fill up on cicchetti (a Venetian version of tapas) which are a good option to keep your food costs down.

To stand the best chance of bagging a bargain break to Venice, avoid visiting in the peak summer months when high temperatures and crowds can make the city hard work, or when the late January/early February Carnevale is taking place. And, if you’re flexible on timings, mid-week is generally quieter and cheaper.

7. Barcelona, Spain

Average price of a five-star city break: £539pp

Barcelona is a crowd pleaser with attractions for every taste. Flit from culture in its museums and galleries to one of the most iconic football stadiums in the world, Camp Nou. Or spend the morning strolling around the handsome medieval quarter with its gothic cathedral before lounging for an afternoon on the beach - Platja del Bogatell is a popular stretch of sand.

No trip to Barcelona would be complete without admiring works by the famous architect, Antoni Gaudí. While you can pay to go into his buildings, a walk up the Passeig de Gràcia will take you past the façades of both the colourfully tiled, dragon shaped Casa Batlló and the maritime-themed apartment block La Pedrera.

Food and drink wise, head to one of the city’s traditional tapas bars away from the tourist streets to eat well on a budget. And, while local beer isn’t quite as cheap as in other cities on our list, at an average price of €4 (£3.45) for a pint according to Numbeo, is a steal compared to big cities in the UK.
