If you would like to see the Pacific Ocean, take the Lincoln Highway and drive for about half an hour to Marina Del Rey, Venice Beach and Santa Monica. This is where you can get the connection to the Pacific Coast Highway. Turn left down the hill towards Malibu and enjoy the spectacular view.

Drive south of LAX to reach San Diego on the Mexican border and its famous Sea World. You will enjoy this city as it has one of the best climates in the world, at any time of year. Take the Santa Ana Freeway to San Diego via the Knotts Berry Farm amusement park just north of Anaheim and with LA Disney just to its south. These are places where you can relive your childhood.
Wine lovers will find few better destinations than California's wineries in the Central Valley. Carry on driving north of Burbank to Bakersfield and Fresno, two of the Central Valley's main cities. Then get out of the car and enjoy walking around the orchards, gardens and vineyards and tasting the produce.
