Tampa is a fantastic base from which to explore but while in the city itself you can do some shopping in the International Plaza Mall or Westshore Plaza Mall before visiting the city's old historic quarter and its History Centre.

You could even head down to the Everglades or cross the state and visit Miami. Or you could head all the way down along the coast until you reach the Florida Keys for the drive to Key West and some amazing sunsets across the ocean.
