Searching for a cheap summer holiday but not sure where to go? Your airport might hold the answers.
From Antalya to the Algarve, we've crunched the numbers at TravelSupermarket HQ to reveal the cheapest holiday destinations departing from UK airports this summer – so you can snap up a budget sunshine break wherever you’re flying from.
Fly from London this summer and you won’t be short on cheap holiday deals, with Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton all major hubs for package holiday operators.
The Costa Dorada takes the crown for the cheapest summer holiday destination from London, averaging £470pp for a week-long getaway on its sun-soaked shores. Stick to Spain for your summer holiday and you can also pick up bargains in the Costa Brava and the Costa Blanca.
Hot on the Costa Dorada’s heels, Bulgaria’s Bourgas region is the second cheapest place to visit from London. Home to family-friendly resorts such as Sunny Beach and Varna that frequently feature as best-value destinations in the Post Office’s Holiday Money Report, it’s a top spot for a cheap and cheerful seaside stay.
Further afield, look to Dalaman in Turkey for a sun, sand and sea holiday that won’t blow your budget.

ppThose in Manchester will also want to hit up Turkey’s Turquoise Coast. If Antalya’s golden, sandy beaches and action-packed resorts weren’t enough to tempt you this summer, its low holiday prices are sure to. The average cost for a seven-night holiday comes in at £531pp. Dalaman also makes the line-up in fourth place, averaging £568pp.
Spanish island favourites, Tenerife and Majorca, take the second and third spots. Both tick all the summer holiday boxes (read brilliant all-inclusive hotels, endless activities and sunshine for days) without the price tag.
If the Greek islands are on your summer wish list, you’re in luck. Crete rounds up the pack as the fifth cheapest holiday destination from Manchester.

ppMajorca’s on a roll as a wallet-friendly summer escape, topping the charts as the cheapest place to fly to from Newcastle. So much so in fact that, on average, it’s over £100 cheaper than the other ranking destinations.
Book a week’s summer holiday to Majorca and you can expect to pay an average of £504pp compared to second place, Antalya (£607pp), and its Spanish sisters, Tenerife (£627pp) and the Costa Blanca (£637pp). There are still great-value deals to be snapped up in the latter three though, especially for travellers in May or early June.
Alternatively, look to Crete for an affordable family summer holiday – its sparkling turquoise seas and laidback atmosphere give Majorca a run for its money.

Similar in price and adding to the mix, the Algarve takes fifth place. Consider the popular resorts of Albufeira and Lagos for a cheap holiday in this Portuguese hotspot.
