There’s nothing quite like that first sip of a crisp, cold beer in the sunshine. What could make it taste even sweeter? Knowing it’s an absolute steal!

Enjoying a beer on holiday, from crisp cold lagers to local brews, is all part of the fun when it comes to kicking back and relaxing. And now we’ve ranked the cheapest place to buy a beer from among the top 20 most popular destinations on TravelSupermarket.

Read on to find out which destinations offer the most budget-friendly pints.

Cheers!

1. Tenerife, Spain

Average price of a beer: £2.17

Tenerife may be known as a top budget and family-friendly destination for Brits, with a notable shift towards more luxury hotels over the past few years. But those looking for a bargain brew can still find one here. Tenerife came out top of the pints in our search for the cheapest holiday beer.

We looked at the average price of a beer in one of the island’s busiest and most popular resorts, Costa Adeje, and found that the average pint of domestic draft beer costs around €2 or £1.73, while a bottle of imported beer is around €3 or £2.60.

Now, whether you choose to enjoy one in the British pub by the strip or the tapas bar by the sea is entirely up to you.

2. Gran Canaria, Spain

Average price of a beer: £2.60

With year-round great weather, a short flight time from the UK of around four hours and resorts galore, it’s easy to see why the Canary Islands are a firm favourite for a break from Blighty.

Now you can add the price of a pint as another reason to book a holiday there to your list. Only just pipped to the post by neighbouring Tenerife, Gran Canaria is also a top spot for a cheap, crisp cold one. It’s also currently one of the cheapest destinations for 2026 overall.

From Puerto Rico to Maspalomas, you’ll find the average price of a domestic draft beer around £2.38 while imported beer is £2.81.

3. Lanzarote, Spain

Average price of a beer: £2.60

We said the Canary Islands were good value, didn’t we? Next up is Lanzarote, which comes in equal second place with nearby Gran Canaria, offering the same average price for both domestic and imported beers.

It’s also worth noting that this much-loved island came in fifth on our list of cheapest beach breaks, meaning you’ll find great value all-round.

Spend sun-drenched days in beach resorts from Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca to Puerto del Carmen, and cool off in the shade with a chilled pint.

4. Costa Blanca, Spain

Average price of a beer: £2.60

Also coming in an equal second is Spain’s gorgeous White Coast. Taking the prices from top resort town Alicante, both domestic and imported beers average around €3 or £2.60. You’ll find similar prices in Benidorm, where, surprisingly, imported beers are slightly cheaper at £2.16 per bottle.

Beyond the bars, be sure to explore the Costa Blanca’s traditional towns and powdery sand beaches for a true taste of Spain.

5. The Algarve, Portugal

Average price of a beer: £2.82

Still hitting that sweet spot of less than £3 a pint is Portugal’s stunning Algarve. Home to top resort towns from Albufeira to Faro and Alvor to Vilamoura, there’s plenty of places to base yourself to enjoy the best of the region’s aquamarine seas and golden sand beaches.

A domestic draft beer is around £2.60, while a bottle of imported beer will set you back around £3.03. Just add a must-try pastel de nata and some of the renowned fresh local seafood and you have yourself a week of food and drink heaven.

6. Dalaman area, Turkey

Average price of a beer: £2.85

The Dalaman region on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast recently topped our list of cheapest beach breaks. Now it can add another accolade to its cabinet with a place in the top 10 cheapest pints.

Taking the prices of top resort town Fethiye, a pint of the local brew will cost you around £2.44 on average, with a bottle of imported beer quite a bit more at £3.25. But, having already saved a fair whack on the price of your holiday versus other destinations, you’ll likely have room in the budget to splash out on a bottle or two.

7. Menorca, Spain

Average price of a beer: £3.01

Known for their white sands and thumping basslines, the Balearic Islands have charms galore to lure holidaymakers year after year. Menorca, though, is the island for those looking for something a little quieter.

Menorca has limited development with the whole island declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1993, so you’ll still find sleepy fishing villages beyond the hotels and resorts. Sip a pint in the sun for around £3 and take in the scenery.

8. Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt

Average price of a beer: £3.04

Turn up the heat in Egypt. It’s always toasty in Sharm el Sheikh, one of Egypt’s leading beach resorts. Though alcohol is largely confined to licensed venues, tourist areas and private homes, you can still enjoy a crisp pint on holiday.

Flop on the beach, or explore world-class diving sites. And when you’re done, raise a glass. A domestic beer costs around just £2.28, while imported beers are a little more expensive at £3.79.

9. Majorca, Spain

Average price of a beer: £3.25

Join the jet set in Majorca. This Balearic Island is known for its designer boutiques, marinas brimming with gleaming yachts and a bounty of gorgeous beaches.

And now it’s known for a good value brew too. A pint of local beer in capital Palma will set you back around £3.46 while imported bottles are actually slightly cheaper around £3.03. So, if you do step out of your all-inclusive, enjoy a cold one on the beach or at tapas bars set in ancient cobbled streets.

10. Antalya, Turkey

Average price of a beer: £3.25

Another picturesque spot on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast, Antalya is brimming with both quiet fishing villages and large resort complexes. Find yourself a spot of sand in a pine-clad cove besides neon green seas. Well, there are worse places to enjoy a pint.

There’s quite a difference in price between local beers which will cost you on average around £2.44 a pint, while an imported beer is almost double the price at £4.06. Considering the price of a pint in your local city centre pub, that’s still worth raising a glass to.

Please note: The research analysed the top 20 most searched-for destinations on TravelSupermarket in May 2026. Prices for the average price of a domestic and an imported beer for each destination in the top 20 were averaged using data from Numbeo and ranked from cheapest to most expensive. Prices correct as of 22 June 2026. See further insights on our TravelSupermarket Destination Leaderboard.
