From Walt Disney World to Universal Orlando and everything else in-between, no-one does theme parks better than Orlando. But look beyond these magical wonderlands and you’ll also find a city rich in culture, entertainment and natural beauty, too. Here’s where to book a villa holiday in Orlando in 2023.

Occupying around 40 sq m of land in Orlando – roughly the same size as San Francisco – Walt Disney World is a destination in itself. So, if you’re in Florida to experience this extravaganza, you have two options when it comes renting a villa.
You can either opt for one within the borders of the resort – convenient but more expensive – or look for one on the outskirts. For the latter, search for cheap villas in and around Hunters Creek or Williamsburg.
Nowhere near as big as Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando still takes a generous bite out of Florida’s most popular city.
Similar to Disney, there are plenty of on-site lodgings to choose from but you’re likely to find an even greater range of villas beyond the resort’s boundaries.
Often referred to as I-Drive, International Drive is Orlando’s ‘tourist corridor’. Here you’ll find a fantastic range of restaurants, bars, shops and, among other things, attractions like Fun Spot America and Ripley’s Believe It or Not!.
There are plenty of amazing villas dotted in and around this bustling strip, so you won’t be short of choices. Shop around and you should easily find a good deal.
Given the obvious magnetism of Orlando’s theme parks – and the fact they are the number one reason people holiday here – it’s all too easy to overlook the rest of the ‘City Beautiful’.
If, however, you’re keen on experiencing its lesser known side, then consider renting a villa in Downtown Orlando. Highlights here include Lake Eola Park and Lake Ivanhoe Park, the Orlando Science Center, and the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
If you’ve got time, head further north to the Audubon Park Garden District and enjoy a welcome dose of culture. Expect craft beer, artisanal bakeries, boutique shops and vintage outlets. As Orlando is over an hour’s drive away from the coast, you might want to consider a villa with a private pool – summer in Florida can get pretty hot!
