Planning your summer getaway but worried about rising costs? We've got great news for you! We’ve crunched the numbers to reveal that prices for family holidays have stabilised, increasing significantly less than the Consumer Price Index (CPI) over the last 12 months.
We dug into TravelSupermarket data to compare prices for all-inclusive holidays in August 2024 with those in August 2023 across 20 popular destinations. It reveals that prices have increased on average by just 1.57%, which is 1.63% lower than the average inflation rate in the 12 months leading to March 2024.
Meanwhile, out of the 20 destinations analysed, 8 holiday hotspots emerged that have seen prices drop year-on-year – that’s despite the UK’s high inflation rate.
So, if you're on the hunt for an affordable holiday that won't break the bank, these eight budget-friendly destinations are the perfect blend of sun, sea and savings.
With package holiday prices down by a whopping 9.57%, Costa Dorada in Catalonia is a top choice for budget-conscious travellers.
