Salou This family favourite is one of Spain's cheapest resorts.
It’s no secret that Spain is a go-to choice for a budget break in Europe – and knowing the holiday destinations where your money will go furthest shouldn't be a secret either.
From the mainland to the Canaries and Balearics, we've run the numbers at TravelSupermarket HQ to reveal eleven of the cheapest holiday resorts in Spain this summer.
Here’s where to find a dose of Spanish sunshine for less.
Tenerife is a classic pick for great-value package deals in Spain. And this summer, it's Puerto de la Cruz that takes top spot as the cheapest Spanish resort, with seven-night getaways averaging £518pp.
This quieter Tenerife town is a hit with couples seeking a romantic getaway – its majestic black-sand beaches and pretty palm-lined streets are a big draw.
Don’t miss the exotic trees and flowers on display at the botanical gardens or a trip to Lago Martiánez, a complex of sea-water swimming pools designed by César Manrique.

Close on Puerto de la Cruz’s heels, a summer holiday to Nerja costs around £545pp on average this year.
Formerly a fishing village, the coastal town is now a thriving beach resort packed full of budget-friendly hotels, restaurants and bars that cater to both families and couples. Traditional Spain is still easy to find in the plazas and narrow streets of the old town and weekly markets (Tuesdays and Sundays).
It lies 57km (35 miles) east of Malaga on the Costa del Sol. Must visits include postcard-icon Burriana Beach and the Nerja Caves, which hide some of the most spectacular stalactites in Spain.
Brimming with fantastic beaches, nightlife and culture, Lloret de Mar is one of Costa Brava’s most popular resorts. Throw in the fact it's the third cheapest in Spain, around £589pp for seven nights, and it’s no surprise that it draws in the summer holiday crowds.
To help your money go even further here, consider a self-catering apartment and look out for free activities – admiring the gothic Parish Church of Sant Roma or lounging on the sun-kissed sands of Playa de Lloret won’t cost you a penny.

Majorca is our first Balearic island entry, with a seven-night break to the north coast resort of Can Picafort coming in at around £599pp.
Small but buzzing with cafes, shops and family-friendly hotels, it's an idyllic choice for an easy-going getaway.
Days are best spent relaxing on golden beaches and going for tranquil swims in the calm sea. You can also hire bikes to cycle along the promenade or take a trip to the Necropolis of Son Real prehistoric burial ground. Alcúdia is also just a 20-minute drive away if you fancy a bit more action.

Prefer something with a bit more buzz? Prices for Magaluf, on the other side of the island, also come in at £599pp.
This fun-loving resort town needs no introduction – it’s Majorca’s number one destination for nightlife and the impressive line up of club events, bar crawls and beach parties makes sure you don’t forget it.
There’s a decent range of affordable hotels to choose from and the resort’s main beach has plenty of soft sand to recover on after late nights.
If you fancy an activity, take a boat trip around the Bay of Palma or get splash-happy at Katmandu Park.

You’ll get up to 12 hours of glorious sunshine a day on the Costa Dorada in summer. And Salou’s long, sandy beaches are perfect for making the most of it.
A variety of accommodation means budget-friendly stays are easy to find (Salou is the cheapest all-inclusive destination for families this year), and you won’t be short on places to shop and eat along the lively beach boulevard.
Nearby, you can also get your adrenaline pumping on the rollercoasters and water slides at PortAventura World.
This summer, a week-long holiday to Salou costs around £613pp on average.

Fuengirola also knows how to keep it cheap. The Costa del Sol resort jumps into seventh spot, at £620pp on average.
Known for its 8km-long (4.9 miles) beach, you’ll find ample space to soak up that summer sunshine. Hit the waves for parasailing or water-skiing, or relax with a cocktail at one of the promenade’s bars.
History buffs will want to make a trip to Sohail Castle – the 10th-century fortress is now used as an open-air music venue, while bargain hunters can shop ‘til they drop at Miramar Shopping Centre or the Saturday flea market.

Just 7km (4 miles) from the airport and ticking all the holiday boxes (think sun-loungers on the beach, bars and restaurants aplenty, and a long list of leisure activities), this purpose-built resort town is a popular choice in Fuerteventura.
On the beach, watersports are high on the itinerary – head to Playa El Castillo for windsurfing or scuba diving. Off the sand, there are two 18-hole golf courses, a cinema and even a bowling alley.
With seven-night summer holidays in Caleta de Fuste averaging £627pp, it’s a good-value alternative to Tenerife this summer.

Stay in Lanzarote’s most popular resort, Puerto del Carmen, and you can expect an extensive range of budget accommodation options, ranging from four-star hotels to self-catering apartments. A seven-night summer getaway here costs around £634pp.
Some of the town’s best attractions are free, too. Home to not one, but three Blue Flag beaches, each with soft sand and wonderfully calm water, Puerto del Carmen’s shores are made for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing.
Behind the sand, the seafront promenade (Avenida de las Playas) has a string of buzzing shops, restaurants and nightclubs.

Packed with beaches, bars and every kind of restaurant you could wish for, Benidorm is one of the Costa Blanca’s top holiday hotspots.
It’s a bestseller with families looking for all-day entertainment. When you’re not flying along the seafront on a banana boat, there are bikes to rent, natural parks to explore and souvenirs to shop for in the old town.
Holidays here won’t break the bank, either. Seven-night summer breaks in Benidorm average £654pp and it’s no stranger to our round up of cheap all-inclusive destinations.
Any spare budget is best spent on trips to the city’s waterparks, Agualandia and Aqua Natura.

With its cheap hotels and inexpensive restaurants, Puerto Rico rounds out our list of cheapest Spanish resorts for summer – you’re looking at £681pp on average for a seven-night summer escape.
Not only does it offer good value, but its range of activities makes it a firm favourite with adventure-seekers, too. Kick back at Puerto Rico beach, try out the inflatable obstacle course at Amadores Fun Park, or sail out in search of dolphins on a wildlife-spotting boat trip.
