Playa Santanyi, Majorca This Balearic island is a classic choice for an all-inclusive holiday.

Picture yourself by the pool. It’s 28C and you’re sipping your second ice-cold beer – or was it your third? No worries, it’s all paid for anyway. As you wonder what's for dinner (a meal you won't have to prepare yourself, by the way), you congratulate yourself quietly: what a good decision it was to go all-inclusive.

If you like the sound of that, you’re not alone. All-inclusive is more popular than ever, and it doesn't have to blow your budget – if you know where to go. So, we’ve crunched the numbers at TravelSupermarket HQ to reveal the cheapest all-inclusive destinations for summer 2024.

1. Agadir, Morocco

With a big sweeping beach and relaxed attitude, Agadir is Morocco's premier package holiday destination – it's been around since the 60s and still ticks all the package boxes. Plus, it has the benefit of being cheap. Like Bulgaria, Morocco is outside the eurozone and the cost of living is low, meaning souvenirs should be a snip.

With 300 days of sunshine a year, all-inclusive holidays here are all about making the most of Morocco’s sublime summer heat. The mercury climbs to the high 20s between June and August, though the Atlantic sea breeze keeps temperatures on the enjoyable side.

If you’ve had your fill of cocktails by the pool and fancy a day out, head to the Souss-Massa National Park for wildlife adventures, or explore the tropical scenery of Paradise Valley in the Atlas Mountains.

2. Costa Brava, Spain

Spain’s sunny Costa Brava is always a good bet for an all-inclusive break. Besides the cheap prices, its wealth of long, Blue Flag beaches and the reliable weather make it a firm favourite for Brits – from May through to September you’re pretty much guaranteed a warm Mediterranean climate and plenty of sunshine.

But there’s more to the Costa Brava than sun, sea and sand. You’ll find exciting cities like medieval Girona, which is crammed with museums, churches, restaurants and bars, mouth-watering Catalan seafood, and some of the wildest coastline in Spain.

Popular places to stay along the Costa Brava include Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, Cadaques and Blanes.

3. Hammamet, Tunisia

Tunisia is making its way onto travellers’ radars for an affordable all-inclusive getaway, and it’s a great option if you’re keen to try something a little different in 2024.

For those after a side of history with their beach break, Hammamet a great pick. Under an hour's drive from the capital, Tunis, Hammamet sits on the Mediterranean coast, close to the ruins of the ancient city of Carthage. Spend your mornings exploring the town’s medieval medina before soaking up the blissful Mediterranean sunshine from the white sands of Hammamet Beach, where you’ll find a variety of watersports, too.

While package holidays to Tunisia are generally cheap, avoid August if you can – this is the hottest month of the year and coincides with school break so prices across the board tend to be higher.

4. Costa Dorada, Spain

Costa Dorada is classic Spain. Barcelona is here for a start, and you’ll also find miles of golden beaches, tons of tapas joints, and some of the country’s best wineries (cava is the specialty).

You’ll have a good range of options for great-value all-inclusive breaks, too. Chilled Cambrils, lively Sitges and lovely Calafell are all top choices, as are Salou and La Pineda. Base yourself at either if you’re travelling with the family: PortAventura World, the home of Ferrari Land, as well as a theme park and water park, is less than ten minutes’ drive from both resorts.

If you fancy exploring beyond the sand, a coastal path spans for 6.5km (4 miles) from Pilons to Cape Salou, taking in secluded beaches and craggy coves along the way.

5. Bourgas Area, Bulgaria

Bulgaria has long been known for its affordable prices and in 2024, you can expect more of the same – especially if you go all-inclusive in the Bourgas area’s Black Sea resorts. At Sunny Beach (which frequently features in the Post Office’s Holiday Money Report as a great-value destination), you’ll find a long and lovely sandy beach, watersports including banana boats and parasailing, and plenty of places to party the night away. To the north, Golden Sands is another popular pick as is Sozopol in the south.

And while you might be tempted to stay resort-side on an all-inclusive holiday, it’s worth leaving your sun-lounger for a day trip or two. Historic Nessebar, protected by UNESCO for its trove of ancient Greek and Byzantine architecture, is an easy day trip from Sunny Beach. Or, organise a 4x4 tour to explore Bulgaria’s beautiful mountains that back the bay.

6. Marrakech, Morocco

An all-inclusive holiday to Marrakech might defy your expectations. A city of colour and chaos, you’re more likely to find luxury riads in the snaking streets of the medina than sprawling resorts. Instead, you’ll find your all-inclusive getaway in Palmeraie, an oasis of a neighbourhood about 20 minutes from the city centre.

That’s not to say you’ll miss experiencing the vibrant Red City if you stay outside the centre – many resorts offer free shuttle services to the medina for the best of both worlds. Once there, you can dive right into the throng – whether that’s getting your haggle on in the busy souks, marvelling at magnificent palaces or stumbling upon unexpected calm in the city’s gardens – then can retreat back to your resort for a cocktail by the pool.

7. Fuerteventura, Canary Islands

Tenerife might pull the crowds but according to our data, Fuerteventura is the top Canary Island to choose for a cheap all-inclusive break in summer 2024.

And if it’s sand time you’re after, you can hardly do better. Fuerteventura has miles of the stuff, with beautiful, golden beaches wrapped right around the island. Watersports are big in Fuerteventura (think all types of surfing, stand-up paddleboarding and diving), though you’ll also find beaches lined with sun-loungers, kid-friendly waters and plenty of quiet, unspoilt spots.

Pitch up for a week or two at Caleta de Fuste if you’re travelling with little ones, Corralejo for top nightlife, Gran Tarajal for romance and a little peace and quiet, or Morro Jable for a mix of it all.

8. Dalaman Area, Turkey

All the clichés of the Mediterranean ring true around Dalaman: yes, the beaches stretch out for miles; yes, the water is that blue; and yes, it really does sparkle.

Dalaman itself is home to more than just the airport, with a number of lively resorts, fantastic seafood restaurants and Blue Flag beaches. To the east, coastal Marmaris is a hard one to beat. The city has a big range of hotels and resorts, both along the waterfront and within its maze of streets, as well as a huge beach that reaches right around to neighbouring resort, Icmeler, about 10km (6.2 miles) away. For kids, there’s a handful of waterparks on the doorstep, too.

Or, go west to Fethiye and Olu Deniz for dreamy beachfront resorts surrounded by pine-clad mountains and the iconic Blue Lagoon.

9. Majorca, Balearic Islands

Great-value all-inclusive deals and good weather come standard in Majorca – and there’s plenty of choice if you’re just looking for a pool to flop next to for a week. As for picking up a bargain, if you’re able to travel outside of the school holidays, May and late September see the best deals. Travel during this shoulder season and you’ll also be able to avoid usual summer crowds.

Not sure where to stay? It can be a tough decision: Majorca has as much variety in its towns as it does its resorts. Magaluf favours the party crowd, while Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia are great for families. Cala d’Or and Cala Millor are great for low-key holidays or, to really get off the beaten track, try one of these quiet towns in Majorca.

10. Gran Canaria, Canary Islands

Gran Canaria needs no introduction as an all-inclusive holiday destination: travellers have been flocking to its shores for decades. It’s hardly a surprise as there’s so much variety here – capital Las Palmas is the biggest city in the Canaries, the island’s beaches range from the lounger-and-watersports variety to empty, untouched swathes, and a lush interior hides dramatic landscapes ideal for exploring.

The island’s hotels are worth writing home about, too. You’ll find a great selection in the south coast resorts of Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas, though quieter areas such as Puerto Mogan and the swish town of Meloneras also have good options. Some of Gran Canaria’s best beaches are also in the south, if you’re looking to swap a day by your hotel’s pool for one by sand and sea.

11. Costa Blanca, Spain

Spain’s sparkling White Coast is a classic summer destination for more than one reason. Sun-drenched beaches lapped by the Med, laidback resorts perfect for families, legendary nightlife, shopping, restaurants and even a little luxury – holidays here have got the lot.

For great all-inclusive deals in Costa Blanca, it has to be Benidorm in 2024. With two long beaches and well-established resorts ranging from the wallet-friendly to the utterly opulent, you won’t want for choice in this package holiday mecca.

The region’s other popular resorts include Alicante and Calpe, although if you’re after a budget deal outside Benidorm, you may be better off choosing a self-catering stay.
